Kurraba Point

This project is a layered backyard transformation that responds beautifully to the natural slope of the site, turning a challenging level change into a defining design feature. A fully tiled concrete pool runs parallel to the entertaining area, elevated within crisp white rendered walls and softened by cascading greenery. The clean lines of the pool are balanced by the surrounding landscape, creating a space that feels both structured and relaxed.

Terraced garden beds step up the site, combining lush planting with carefully integrated retaining and seating. Soft, textural planting spills over the edges, while established trees—including a striking jacaranda—frame the space and bring seasonal colour and shade. Wide stone steps connect each level, guiding movement through the garden and enhancing the sense of depth.

Adjacent to the pool, a generous outdoor dining area and built-in seating create a natural hub for entertaining. Frameless glass fencing maintains uninterrupted views across the space, allowing the pool and garden to remain visually connected.

The result is a cohesive, resort-style backyard that feels private, green, and inviting—where strong architectural forms are softened by planting, and every level of the space is designed to be used and enjoyed.
